Well I found this TV at mini warehouse the set was left outside and my grandma ho lives next door said the TV had been there for couple of days. I really don't need another TV but that didn't stop me from rescuing with my dad's help. The set works perfectly and is a pretty low hour set. the picture is excellent especially after I set it back to factory settings with A/V rest button on the TV set. As the previous owners settings were way out of wack. I have the TV in den with a pireod correct Mitsubishi VCR from the same exact year unfortunately it is mono .Also have a blue ray player and a Wii hooked up to. The control door no longer latches doto latch being busted. So I'm going to have to figure out a way to fix that. I did order an OEM remote as you need to get into the menu and use other functions. The set has pretty good sound for a 90s set as most I have used leaved alot to be desired. I will make video on the set when I can.

Very strong CRT. Good it was saved, a very nice find !
Rather watch this than most new LED sets, more natural to me.

Those door latch catches were always broken on Mitsubishi and Panasonic sets. We carried them in our caddies.

Very nice! I always wanted one of these when they came out. I did have its 19 inch little brother and always enjoyed the picture on these Mitsubishi sets.

I don't want the door to get broke off so I guess I'm going to have to remove the latch so door will stay shut hopefully.

S-video looks fantastic. People get super fixated on RGB, but you can only really tell the difference from up close, and not from the distance you would actually be playing a game from, like on the couch.

The difference is pretty clear when you take a photo and zoom way in, but no one can play a game zoomed in like a photo, it's ridiculous.

The N64 has that horrible blur filter on it anyways, and I personally would rather play a stock N64 in composite or even RF, as that helps blend the psychedelic colors together

I have been using the set and I noticed on blank screen I see what looks like a line that is little bit brighter than rest of the image on the right side of screen on dark sheens or when no image is present. The line changes with how bright the content is on screen. I'm manly just curious what might cause this and if it's something I need to fix or something out of adjustment.

Its probably the filter cap on the 200 V line. Its a top ten problem on
ALL sets. Symptoms are any combination of, or one of the following.

Pix goes from dark to light across the screen.
Pix just "not right",
Poor color, can look like bad CRT
Bright white raster with retrace lines.
Jail bars on left fading as you go right.
Cant turn brite down.
AND others that dont come to mind !

Bottom line is change it on any SS set you are fixin !

Thanks I don't think I have any caps that go up to that high of voltage on hand at the moment but once I find what value the set takes I will order it. I have a RCA from 1991 and it has very washed out picture I thought screen control was to high but before I mess with screen I will check the 200v filter as to my knowledge no one has ever touched the screen control.

The RCA cap may be part of a big 2 section filter can. Just cut off the wire & make a flying splice with a new one.
The cap is almost always either a 4.7 mfd or 10 mfd. Use a 350 or 450 volt.
temp 100 degree C.

A friend of mine had a 35" (or maybe 40"?) version of that set. When he moved it took 4 of us to lift it on the back of the truck. I told him to sell it with his house net time!!
