Used to have the chassis to one. It's basically a cost reduced Dumont. Older Crosleys were sold with a straight Dumont RA-103 chassis in a different cabinet (Stromberg Carlson and IIRC Belmont did the same thing).

Yes I have the exact blonde cased chassis unit without the base. Tom is correct, it is almost identical to the RA-103 including the continuous induction tuner. I don't remember if mine has the power circuit relay delay switch like the Dumont. I don't think it does.

It's quite different than an RA-103 isn't it? I mean aside from the tuner. Fewer controls and less tubes for starters. I'm talking about the chassis in the OP.

Crosley 9-407 is another story. For sure that's an RA-103 clone.

Hard to believe it's a Dumont chassis. And I highly doubt Chicago based Belmont used any Dumont chassis, as they were a predominant manufacture themselves. Possibly there's confusion because of the inductance tuners used, but I don't believe Dumont had any exclusive to that design as inductance tuners were used in many radio brands long before Dumont built televisions. :scratch2:

It's a model 9-424 covered in Riders vol 4. Amusing that they used a pair oy 5Y3 in parallel rather than a 5U4.
