Is there a little screw somewhere near the tuner that would tune in channel 3 better I have a picture and sound but it’s out of tune a bit tuning knob does work but it’s just out of range to be clear thinking maybe there is a secondary adjustment to improve the range.

Best to look at a diagram to be sure. If it's a strip tuner, sometimes they have an overall adjustment screw besides the strip screw adjustment. On wafer style tuners, adjusting the next channel up ( channel 4) may have more of an effect than trying to adjust the channel 3 screw.

Usually you have a customer FT. That usually runs a plunger inside
a coil. It has less than one turn.
Also there may be 12 holes in the front of tuner. They are for 1 channel each.
To set put the customer FT mid range, adjust channel screw with a PLASTIC tool.
There are a lot of tuners in the old days. Also a lot of sets used several suppliers so refer to Sams & look it over, its just mechanics.
