I guess there must be a butt for every seat. Me, why on earth would you want to live in a repro of the BB house?

I suppose the best thing would be standing in the kitchen saying "pork chops and apple sauce" in Peter's best Bogart voice.

It is the actual house... It was used for the exterior shots, the interior shots was always came from a TV sound stage.

IIRC there was an X-files episode where someone went to the exterior shot house (the one being discussed) and saw the TV show interior and something weird happening in it and Muller and Scully show up show the interior is nothing like the show normally then they investigate...
Seems like someone with money decided to make the X-files episode real.

For $5million I'd rather own a house that wasn't a museum AND painfully tacky.
You live in a house like that, you go insane from being almost unable to touch or change anything while living in the uncanny valley.

The only sit-com that was halfway realistic was "All in the Family"! :D
Most of the other ones were so "Squeaky clean!" :scratch2:

Fred G Sanford's house was pretty realistic to me, especially after experiencing LA suburbs' shabby neighborhoods as a kid visiting relatives there.

Green Acres was a not-so-flattering send-up of rural life. Personally I would be happy in such a location but in a solid, pre-war farmhouse with some very useful outbuildings:D

Trivia. The Sanford Living Room set was later re-used for a TV show called, What's Happening!!

A summer or two after Whats Happenin', I found this very same TV set in a farm dump up the road, before I knew how to recap them, It played for 10 minutes, rolled vertically, then quit:sigh:.
