What could be the problem? Thanks! zeno 01-12-2023, 07:54 PM Probably HV shut down ( HVSD) is getting triggered. Some reasons are 1) the HVSD circuit is bad 2) too much HV 3) heavy load on Horz out or HV. Its probably a Panasonic chassis & they were known for bad flybacks. What do you have for test equipment ?? You need at least a good meter & a variac ( or dim bulb set up ) unless you get real lucky. BTW do you hear sound before it shuts down ? 73 Zeno:smoke: LFOD ! Yes i can hear sound through the speaker along with high voltage on the screen. zeno 01-14-2023, 02:31 PM You can try this BUT there is a risk to the TV !:tears: Turn the TV back on after shut down. Do that 4 or 5 times then unplug it, find the horz output transistor & see if it got hot. If it did its most likely the HV transformer is bad. After that to go further you need a manual. Zeno |
