I am interested in getting a pdf of the schematic and of the brochure and/or ads that the tv is in. The tv is a 1972 Rca AQ198WEN.

Is this black and white?

I am not sure because the tv needs repair.

EN after an RCA model number usually meant a stand was included when the set was sold.

This is what came with the tv when I bought it a couple of years ago. The Photo was taken by the people who did the estate sale.

Your set may have the horizontal disable circuit that was added to the basic chassis at some point during production.

Checked & I dont have the Sams sry. Its an all tube set so
repairs should be easy without the manual.

These are a pretty nice series of RCA. I know someone who has one just like it in his office as a novelty. First thing we did was check to see that the Hosc was running and then determine that the HV was correct. When these get dirty and dusty, the tube sockets can be highly tempermental. I had to use a small pipecleaner and Deoxit D5 on every socket and tube before both V and H would lock. The sockets they used on these are definitely not ceramic. They are the cheap plastic type.
Tuner is also fun, it is fragile if you overdo it with the cleaning.

I once had one like this exhibiting redplating in the HOT, even with normal current which was caused by the lead dress under the damper socket being pressed right up against the base of the HOT.

Have fun, they aren't making any more of these!

The stand in the Estate Sale image looks like a mid-60's Zenith stand.

I had one of those, new. except it didn't have a carrying handle.

I modified mine to feed mono audio into my stereo...

The stand screams Gusdorf, I would bet my right arm.
They built the custom stands & pedestals for Zenith.
They also had a general line & many of them were cut for Zeniths.
The Boston Zenith distributor also carried Gusdorf.
Rugged & easy to assemble.

Some sets like our Admirals came with a stand packed in. They
were so bad we would not build them or put a set on one.
