I was browsing Kijiji someone has this old Zenith in the free section.
Is it worth picking up? any good? 70's or 80's?

Got a picture or link?
Zenith made a lot of different sets for decades. Most were excellent, but a few weren't.

That set is either a 4 tube hybrid, or an earlier higher tube count hybrid. Glad it's in Canada if it were in Milwaukee I'd be all over it. Those are great sets.

Hell yes, go get it! Great set! I think it's the 12-tube hybrid set; the four-tube version had a different knob on the UHF tuner and I'm pretty sure they all had Chromacolor branding.
The set IS a 19" 4 tube hybrid. apx 1974. Very desired by many here.
Built from B-line til F-line, a long run. Easy to fix & you can get almost
any parts. Built like a tank so bring a good back to move it !

Absolutely, grab it. I concur with the others here, those are great sets and not difficult to work on.

Great find!
Kijiji is messing with me and saying that ad was in my city. I'm going to pretend it wasn't and I didn't just miss out, because I never see any older Zenith sets like that around here.

How about the New Vista Color (nuvister?), TransVista color and the XL-100? A time when the name had a real meaning. Don't worry I am old

I worked at a store delivering new RCAs in the early 80s, XL-100 became the lower priced models since ColorTrak was the current flagship line. ColorTrak 2000 and "dimensia" system were the last of the new models.
