From my dad's old stuff Doug 05-05-2021, 07:56 AM Trying to upload pictures Doug 05-05-2021, 07:21 PM Maybe pix old_tv_nut 05-05-2021, 08:33 PM Yes, a tuner. Metal case missing as well as tubes. Maybe someone can identify the TV it came from, but I can't. damen 05-05-2021, 08:38 PM I don't know who manufactured it, but Admiral used those tuners in the late 50s and early 60s. I remember having to bore holes in those plastic tubes to get tuner cleaner in them. Doug 05-06-2021, 10:43 AM I have the cover nothing on it. It's look different as one side on the 1st picture has the coils and caps to The selector then the other side 2nd picture just has the tuned metal tabs. bandersen 05-06-2021, 11:47 AM Likely the size with visible coils and caps is the lower VHF band (channels 2-6). The other side would be the upper VHF band (channels 7-13). The upper band much higher in frequency and uses very small inductors and caps - often just a short wire or metal strip.
