View Full Version : Pictures of my 1948 Imperial Windsor with TV Xdevo1973 04-18-2020, 10:39 PM Hi Everyone, Thanks for all of your help. Here’s the Magnavox CT-220 back in the Imperial Windsor. vts1134 04-19-2020, 07:23 AM Wow!!!! What an amazing piece. Thank you so much for sharing. Xdevo1973 04-19-2020, 08:56 AM More pictures taken just now. I bought this whole unit ten years ago in Manhattan for $20. A gentleman had purchased a residential building on East 36th Street. The final tenant had passed on. The building owner’s daughter had listed the contents on Craigslist. I restored the lower unit shortly after bringing it home, but the television sat in my basement for 10 years. This is the Magnavox Windsor Imperial. It has a decal that reads “Liberty Music Shops-New York City. Now you see it playing New York City TV stations picked up off of the antenna just as when it was new. old_tv_nut 04-19-2020, 11:26 AM Great! kvflyer 04-19-2020, 11:39 AM Very, very nice. Now, it is complete. Please, enjoy. decojoe67 04-19-2020, 11:55 AM Very nice work on a very nice set. I've never seen one in operation. It's interesting that, like with radio in the early days, buyers either wanted the TV set to be a centerpiece in their home, or they wanted it to be inconspicuous. |
