Is there any chance that I will find online an '20-'50 auto book that gives quite a lot of details about all parts of the automobile? Quite in detalis, for example is not talking about one single type of ingnition system in just 1-3 pages... let's say it haves at least 5 about it (excluding pictures and diagrams).

Are you looking for something that can be viewed online, or just purchased online? I know there are some such books available on CD.

Aww, chit... KNEW this would happen. There's a nice young man, he has an older 300 mid size Mercedes, & works at a local burger joint. We've struck up a friendship, talked "Cars", kid seems to have his head screwed on pretty straight, I took a Mercedes book I have, & a "Consumer Guide Cars 1930-90" compendium, as well. Told him I wanted 'em back, but he could borrow 'em. He's going back to college he says Sunday, & will leave the books for me where he works. WHEN/if I get 'em back, I'll PM you, you can gimme yr address, & they're yours, if you want 'em. How does that sound ?
