I am needing help finding any info and a schematic for this tv. I did not find a chassis number, but there is a lot of dust and some corrosion. I am hoping someone recognizes the tv.

The CRT is not busted and the filament does have continuity. I am going to put the base back on soon and test the CRT.

You really need to find the model number or chassis number to work on this. You need a CRT tester to test the CRT because the chassis is probably not working well enough.
EDITED: Sorry I mis-read your post. I didn't find any Curtis Mathes 4224 at the SAM site.

I do have a CRT tester. That was my plan for testing the CRT. The model number on the TV tag is 4224, the issue is that the corrosion has covered/removed the chassis number. I was hoping to figure out which sams would have this tv if someone could recognize it.

First get some date codes off some ORIGINAL major parts.
Then find SAMS for similar models about 6 mo to a year later.
If you have access to a collection thats great. If not someone else
may or you may find them on the internet. You will find a similar
manual most the time.

It's badged as "Mathes" instead of Curtis Mathes so it's late 50's or early 60's.

I figured it was late 50's. I did think it was odd that it was marked Mathes, but the tubes in it were Curtis Mathes tubes. I will attempt to find a date code tonight.

The original Curtis Mathes tubes have date codes of 1959.

The model 4224 is probably a cabinet number difference.
Sams shows a 4200 series, folder 506.

I have ordered two different Sams.

The first sams covers chassis models: 1121, 2121, 3121A, 5521A
These models use a 21CBP4A picture tube. Which is what mine has.

The second Sams covers chassis models: 7323, 9323
These models use a 23CP4 picture tube.

Both of the photos on the front of the Sams shows only 5 knobs on the front whereas mine has 7, but I think these two Sams will get me started.

For anyone who is interested I thought I would post an update. The tv is recapped and working! Someone had tweak all the controls so I did a rough alignment.

Interesting early Mathes TV set. They didn't make too many of these sets before the change to Curtis Mathes. The Mathes company made radio sets, and radio/phonograph consoles before they made a TV set. A rare bird.

Mathes began by making the Mathes Cooler, a well known electric fan in a wooden case with louvers. From there, Mathes branched out to making Radio sets, then HiFi console radio/phonograph combinations, and then televisions. And a little bit later, renamed the company to Curtis Mathes. Which is what most people know them best as.
