At the very least, inspect the CRT and see if it is secure. Motorola used a really cheap mounting system where there is a clamp support on the neck and a foam gasket around the face. Often that gasket deteriorates leaving only the neck supported.

Rough handling could cause it to break as it did when I received this similar model VT71.

It came by mail. It was too far away to pick up in person.

Interesting that most if the funnel and face are intact... I would have guessed that the box would have been filled with small pieces of glass. :scratch2:
