I'll let you shop around. Remember .00XYuF = XY00pF (since u=10^-6 and p=10^-12), and that .005 (or any 5 multiple) is not made anymore so the closest value .0047 is best (and in tolerance of the original part). sylvania 01-11-2017, 03:19 PM http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/WIMA/FKP1Y014706B00JB00/?qs=WI052HLiD5hJ4zf7WS%252bDVw%3d%3d Allied, Digikey, and IIRC Just Radios should also have comparable parts, possibly at better prices. Thanks Tom I wish I had been taught this when I was younger, I had thought that might work but better to ask appreciate it. EdKozk2 01-11-2017, 08:48 PM I thought .0005mfd is the same as 500 pf. So Sylvania would need to purchase a 470 pf 6000 volt capacitor not a .0047mfd which is the same as a 4700pf cap. Electronic M 01-11-2017, 09:22 PM Your right!...I missed a zero reading his post. :withstpd: At that value another question is whether the original is a tubular or a doorknob type...May want another doorknob off ebay if it's a doorknob type. sylvania 01-11-2017, 11:03 PM Thanks it is a tubular I will have to order one from Just Radios the only place I have found that has it. zeno 01-12-2017, 08:25 AM Your right!...I missed a zero reading his post. :withstpd: At that value another question is whether the original is a tubular or a doorknob type...May want another doorknob off ebay if it's a doorknob type. I blame my eyes first. Then I always have a throw down story ready. When that dont work I find a scapegoat....... 500 pf correct. 73 Zeno:smoke: LFOD !
