I'm pretty sure it's a color set based on the rainbow strip, but I found this TV in an old photo from the family.

I think the "rainbow" is a camera flash reflecting off chrome rather than a cabinet part. old_coot88 09-29-2016, 05:53 PM Ctc 19Bingo. RCA's first 19" rectangular color. andy 09-29-2016, 06:24 PM ... lnx64 09-29-2016, 09:31 PM Thanks for identifying it, all of you! :D It's awesome to know this information. I have other pictures, but they are older and I'll need to find them. BigDavesTV 10-04-2016, 10:24 PM My brother and sister in law bought the same set new in 1966, when they were married. It's an RCA colonial maple "Tea-Cart" style cabinet. It is a 19" Color set, very small console cabinet. I worked on it once, in the last few years they owned it, IIRC it was a CTC-19 chassis. My brother had the set until the middle 1980's, in the den, it's last year's. They always had RCA Factory Service work on it, and I know it's picture tube was replaced twice over the years. A 19EYP, OR 19GWP22, if I remember correctly. It was a cute little tv, and was offered to me when they were done with it, I wish I had kept it! |
