It looks exactly like mine. Mine is Model H2447R Chassis 24H21. CRT is 19AP4.

That one on Ebay certainly does look like a great candidate for restoration.
If I did not have a porthole TV and lived near MD, I would certainly check
that one out.

Be interesting hearing what he finds out.

If I got it, I think the first thing I would do is take take off the back,
use my Air Compressor and blow out the dust, test the CRT, and then
use the cremey non-grit GoJo hand cleaner all over the outside of the
wood cabinet. If its a keeper, certainly would recap it. But also wipe
down the inside of the cabinet and stain the inside with Ebony Stain to
make the chassis stand out. Oh it sounds like a fun project.

Well, I guess I don't have to worry about it getting tanked. I was gonna bid but forgot to. Oh well :/

Hey guys. Yes I picked this one up and recapped it already. Threw in a good 19AP4 but have no HV anywhere. Cannot seem to track down the issue yet. I need to rig the set so I can run it outside the cabinet so I can adequately test voltages. That's the next step. I do not have any HV at the plate caps of the dual 6BQ6s. Cannot hear the horiz oscillator running at all. That indicates to me the issue is before all that, correct? Chassis is 24H21, model number H2447R. Flyback "looks" ok, but have not even gotten to that point yet b/c I think the issue is before that with no osc. running and nothing at plate caps of 6BQ6s. Any ideas would be appreciated. I have good sound and she is solid. Have run it for around 20-30 minutes while fiddling with no apparent other issues popping up. Few photos attached after getting it home and cleaning it up a bit. Oh, I have checked the continuity of the phonevision shorting plug as well. All ok there.

After some very frustrating weeks and some investigation of voltage readings, I was definitely looking at the horizontal section before the flyback as my issue. Tracked it down to a bad horizontal osc coil (horizontal hold control). Replaced it last night with a NOS one that Moyer Electronics in PA tracked down for me. When I fired it up and heard the whine of the osc for the first time I knew I was in business. That familiar sound had been absent.

A few images of where I am. Also a link to a youtube video. If you look close at the video, the picture has a waviness/jumpiness to it in the scanning lines. Especially around white lettering. Anyone know what might be causing that? Can see it in the still photos as well, in the top 1/4 of the pictures. Seems to vary in intensity. Sometimes barely noticeable and sometimes it is over the entire picture.

I still have to clean all controls and clean all tube sockets. But I seem to be in business. HV at the metal bell of the 19AP4 is 12 kV, as it should be, with horiz drive below the mid point on the control range. Had it on for about two hours last night after getting a raster and picture. To clarify the waviness/jumpiness in the horizontal scan lines, it is almost like some lines are shifting or wiggling left and right, while others are not. So picture seems jittery horizontally. Not entire picture, parts of the picture.
