Eentarestin', to say the least ! Somewhere along the way, 10-15 yrs ago, I bought one of those Technicolor VTRs that has the bigger than an audiocassette, but smaller than a VHS tape cartridges. I got offa Da Bay, I think I gave next to NOTHIN' for it. Last time I fooled w/it, it played DANDILY. Wish I'd got a couple more tapes for it, though..

Cool. Pretty much tells us what we already know. For example, the battle between JVC and Sony and VHS taking over. CEDs and how they were made. I'm disappointed by the comment made by them stating that they dont have many vhs machines in the museum because there were few oddities and VHS is boring. I completely disagree. Sure, its more common. Not boring. I collect them myself and never pass up an older solid unit.

VHS is superb.... BEAUTIFUL and PURE :)

VHS is a great medium with a good player that has been well taken care of. Most people judge them from their bargain VCR's compared to DVD/BD on their laptop though.

VHS tapes can also withstand pure torcher that would render any optical disk useless in seconds. I can't tell you how many times I ran my bike through the woods carrying VHS tapes and game cartridges that ended up breaking my fall (painfully) and no damage to them.
