This was for sale on Ebay. I was the high bidder. Over this past weekend, I drove over to the Los Angeles area and picked it up. These are the pictures from the ad. I haven't had a chance yet to take any pictures of my own.
I have heard of Guild before and knew they made novelty radios. I never knew they made a TV too.

I wonder who made the chassis? Some west coast make or themselves.
To make any adjustments, you had to use a mirror, as the briteness and vert hold is in the back.
Those drawer-pull knobs are class. :D

I did. I came home on Saturday afternoon. The collapse happened on Sunday afternoon. I had to be at work on Sunday morning. I had though of calling in sick and returning Sunday afternoon. I'm glad I didn't.

Guild was the Nostalgia purveyors then. Old style cabinetry and styling. Retro in modern language. Usually seemed decent much of the time, but not exceptional.

Interesting set. Looks like you might be able to save the original finish with some Howards and paste wax and just replace the grille cloth.
