Anyone remember these ? Must of been for tuners that used UHF
strips. Ive never seen em.

Those are pretty neat. Of course I have no idea what model(s) they're for, but I do recognize the UHF indicator from my flatty.

Edit: Have another look at the listing. I asked the seller to add photos of both sides of the instruction sheet. I haven't read all of it yet, but it shows a very familiar-looking knob.

I think I still have a baby food jar full of channel 16's somewhere.

I can't say that I recognize those either. I looked up the part number in my Zenith parts manual and nothing is listed for 102-9224. But going by the design of the tuning knob from the diagram, it appears to be the tuning knob with the floating channel window as used on the 1959/1960 models. Some of the trapezoidal ones seem quite large though and may not fit that particular knob.

The rectangular strip in the top left corner is what was used in the 19" Zenith Jetliner portables from around 1960.

I have an absolutely beautiful Jetliner in great working condition that needs a tuner. It was used in a stage production in the late 1990s, and part of the play was an argument between two people each cranking the channel knob to their favorite channel. The tuner didn't survive :( . At the moment I use it on a tuner subber.

They're in my 1968 Zenith Knobs index master table - they give the prefix 102-92 as being indicator tabs, with the channel number being the last two digits of the part number - they only go up to 102-9257, so UHF assignments for the period probably only had channels 14-57 occupied. No data in the "last year" column, but some have SC1, SC3 in the remarks column - Space Command 100/300??? Seem to be universal to Zenith knobs for a set period of time. I recall the first UHF assigned channels using the tabs being on some Hotel/Motel sets - perhaps they were for those sets? We didn't service them, but had a friend's shop that did almost all Hotel/Motel and rental TV repair - he was 50 yards from the beach...
