I picked up htis RCA BW tonight...fomr a local thrift store.

It is a KCS-152D 16 inch set. WORKS--at least with raster and white noise audio. Pic tube looks to be VERY good.

I didn't used to grab hot chassis sets....but this little 1960's RCA was a good deal.....and It seemedf to be "calling me". SO...I grabbed it.

Pix's are NOT real good this crappy phone needs a LOT of light...

I don't bother going to the GW much anymore, since they quit accepting TV's. Their claim was that the large screen CRT sets were too heavy and customers and their personnel, were getting injured lifting them.
Probably a bit of truth, as they were only getting $1.00 to $5.00 for most of them.

I have pretty much given up on thrift stores around here. Salvation Army in Norwood used to be a great place to score (electronics that is..).
Then it all dried up- only BPC's, etc. Then I observed one of the reasons why. I was running a large project our company was installing, and I had the run of the Facility.
Watching them unload the Trucks, I observed the Foreman sifting through the electronics, as well as furniture etc. Basically deciding what was for his benefit, the rest going to the store to be sold. We would then see him load his van near the end of the day. This was not an isolated incident, we were there for quite a while one summer. Who knows, maybe there were others in on it as well.

I felt bad for people making a good faith effort to donate to a worthy cause, not knowing that there was a slob in the back picking and choosing and lining his pockets rather than the important work the charity is performing day in and day out.

I don't mean to paint Salvation Army in a bad light- they have probably changed policy over time to not accept large electronics any more, and this Bozo has probably moved on as well.
Going to S.A. Management could have been an option, but in my experience being a "tattletale" while performing work in someone's facility usually backfires.

An RCA "Sweet 16"! I picked one up at the flea market a few years ago.
