Does anyone here receive the "Decades" network over the air? Here in Columbus, OH it abruptly replaced the "Antenna TV" network yesterday.

I get Antenna TV on KDAF 33.2 and Decades on KTVT 11.2 so we've got em both!:D

It's been on 58-4 for a few months now. Now, they pick out a topic of the days historical events and run movies that relate to it.
AFAIC, it's a welcome addition to the free OTA offerings. :thmbsp:

I'm really missing AntennaTV. Decades is OK, but my preference is AntennaTV.

I took the time to write a polite, cordial email to the program manager at WBNS stating that I really liked AntennaTV & that I hope it could be brought back someday, but I got a response that basically said "too bad." I would have expected a statement along the lines of them appreciating my feedback, blah blah blah, or to be totally ignored, but I thought the tone of their response was poor PR.

I have Time Warner Cable here in northeastern Ohio. We just got COZI TV a couple months ago (it's on a subchannel of Cleveland's ABC channel 5) and we've had MeTV and Antenna TV for quite a while. I doubt we'll be getting Decades, since the cable system here already has the three retro TV networks I just mentioned, but it could happen. In my heart I doubt it, though, since northeastern Ohio isn't that big a TV market compared to Chicago, New York, Detroit, et al. There are only seven TV stations in the Cleveland area, plus another handful of stations in smaller cities just outside the region; most of those other stations are UHF independents or religious broadcasters which would have little, if any, interest in carrying another retro TV network.

These are the TV stations (with subchannels) serving northeastern Ohio. Most of them, as the listing shows, are already affiliated with broadcast or cable networks, so would not have the room for another network unless it were put on another subchannel. Channel 61 probably wouldn't pick up Decades, since that station is a Univision affiliate carrying Spanish-language programs.

If we ever do get Decades in this area, it might show up as a subchannel of 8, 19 or even 43; difficult to tell right now. The size of the northeastern Ohio TV market, however, as I said, is what may ultimately determine whether the area will get this network, but with the area having three retro channels already, I doubt it.

Note as well that even if Cleveland does get Decades as a subchannel of one of its local network affiliates, it will be quite some time before the network will appear on streaming video services such as Roku. I watch live local TV through my Roku player exclusively, and, for about the first month or so, did not get Antenna TV through the player; that network was just recently added to Roku's channel lineup. I don't know why it took so long to get this stream added to the Roku, but anyway I'm glad it's finally here, as I watch that network quite a bit.

How are you getting Antenna TV on a Roku? I don't see any Roku channel for this -- is it via the TWC Roku channel?
