Saw this at the Southport Antique Mall here near Indianapolis yesterday. It may be a hybrid, as it took a while for the TV to come on, but the stereo came on immediately. Obviously I couldn't move it out & pull the back off to check the tube lineup :) I was sorely tempted to take it home, as EVERYTHING worked on it! Except that 1-I don't have a place for it, 2-I didn't have an extra body to help move it, 3-I have a Pontiac Vibe not a pick up truck or van, 4-The $250 price tag seemed high. But STILL :) The cabinet is flawless. The TV is showing an episode of "Flipper" via ANT TV from the digital converter under the ceramic duck. The antenna is stuck on the wall at left with pushpins. Typically, the TV sound has its own low power audio amp, & sounds weak through the big honking speakers of the console. But the FM radio & turntable sound quite good. No shortage of bass on this thing. I'd keep this just as it is, were I to have gotten it. Sigh....
