A friend posted this on FB. He has no info on the set. I suspect it is a well done custom built cabinet. Does anyone recall seeing this offered as a factory manufactured TV? In any case can anyone ID the TV?
Thanks,
-Steve D.

My guess is one of a kind custom job.
Is your friend in the Hollywood/L.A. area also? I would think that would make it more likely to be custom too, owned by a big shot film exec or actor or such.

Eric,
As it happens my friend does live in the L.A. area. I wish he knew more about the photo he posted.

Looks custom to me, a lot of work went into that cabinet.

It would be interesting to know what chassis is in it, the knob layout looks like a Raytheon.

Hi,
This picture is from an australian ebay auction, I have more pictures saved of this set.
The seller wrote that it was made by the original company.
As I remember right it was a special construction on ideas of the customer.
The auction was about 3 years ago.
I have to check the pictures on my office computer, but I think
the set was made by "Precedent". This is not sure, will see it tomorrow.
But Australia had some companies which bought chassis from other
companies to sell them under the own name.

P.S.
This case has to be moved to the section with non american TV sets.

The model was called "Manhattan".
Behind the left lids a radio and a record player were placed.

Yep, it's a Manhattan 3 in 1. The owner of this set lives in Australia. It was posted in the Vintage Television Collectors page on FB yesterday.
