I have been offered a 21EAP4 CRT to replace my dead one. Seller claims it tests at 90%. He wants $100. It would probably cost me $60 to $70 for packing/shipping.

Is that a fair price?.

I was thinking maybe I should stay away from one of these because of their high failure rate. Do I have a real concern here?, and would I be better off finding a 6v replacement?

I already paid too much for my Philco Barberpole set, so this just adds to the hurt...

Thanks for all your wisdom.

I paid $100 for a 23MP4 tube a couple of years ago. He packed it very well, and shipped it to me on the bus.

It was not horribly expensive going that route.

The tube for the Predicta is only going to be harder to find over time. I'd do it if I had a set that needed it.

That's a good deal if it's as good as claimed. I paid $150 a couple years ago for a non original replacement with a long neck.

Great deal if not rejuved, I saw one sold for $300, these are scarce.
