Anything special I should know about the 47 pf mica cap in the Admiral TeleBar deflection yoke? I just replaced the 3 resistors, but leaving this cap for now. If I need to replace in the future, is it just a normal 47 pf mica?
Cap itself reads:
47 +/- 5%
1500 DC-? (Last digit or letter is illegible).
What should I replace this with if needed?

I normally replace mica with mica. Perhaps the 1500DC means rated for 1.5KV. Caps in horizontal circuits can take a beating, so you can't go wrong by using a healthy voltage rating.
I'd be inclined to leave it alone for now and revisit the cap if your set later has problems with width, etc.

I think that is EXACTLY what I am going to do. THX! :thmbsp: Plus I think I had trouble finding a mica rated at 47 pf that was at or above 1.5kV.
Funny, my other admiral console has too much width and I cannot shrink it down. Width control maxed out on back. I did not replace the resistors or mica in that deflection yoke. Maybe I should. All other caps and resistors replaced in that set. :)

That cap doesn't really affect the width. I'm pretty sure it's there to suppress ringing. The two vertical resistors serve a similar purpose.
If your Admiral has a big power resistor inside the HV cage, make sure it's OK. It has a big effect on width and linearity. Also check the damper tube.

I forgot to mention adjusting the horizontal drive can have a big impact on the width too.

That's probably it!!! Messed with that when I first got the set. :)
