What model (Sylvania?) is pictured here? A friend discovered it in an antique mall in Detroit today.

Looks like a Halolight model but I couldn't tell you the model number.

Looks pretty similar to the one in this ad from 1957, except for the cabinet colors: http://books.google.com/books?id=XEoEAAAAMBAJ&lpg=PA3&dq=sylvania&pg=PA3#v=onepage&q=sylvania&f=false

The one in the ad is model 21T208. Likely they had the same chassis.

I have one in Mahogany. The model number is 21T207MP. It has an interesting lever action tuner.

The CRT of the one in the OP's picture looks unusually dark.

Must have come out around the same time as my Saratoga, it has the same sort of upper front bezel with lever action tuner.

At a glance I want to say later 50s 17" halo-light. Looks real clean and being in a thrift store it should go pretty cheap. I would pick it up, but I would check the c.r.t. if at all possible.

The ratchet-action tuner is pretty unique.
that set looks like it has a 90 degree CRT judging the depth.
I had one in a non halo 21" from 1959, not as deep.
