Found a real nice 1977 Sanyo 19 inch tv by the dumpster at my apartment complex. It works very well has a metal cabnet plus ports for Sanyo's old Vcord tape recorder and a VTR input.

It should be easy enough to find a PL-259 to RCA or BNC adapter to use that input (it's standard composite video on an uncommon connector). The 8 pin VTR connector is a probably the standard pinout found on many commercial/industrial VTRs. I've had Panasonic and JVC VHS decks that carried it, it's not limited to Umatic and EIAJ decks. Jon A. 03-11-2014, 03:50 PM Man, that's pretty sweet. crh4881 03-11-2014, 04:39 PM Yeah I was pretty happy to find this, thanks for the adapter info I was wondering if there were any out there for this tv. Would be neat to find an old commercial VTR or Vcord player. Great find Dave A 03-11-2014, 10:47 PM At last...something that RS is good for. They have the 259 to BNC version. Then you need to add a RCA-Female to BNC adaptor. Probably in the next drawer. And don't let Eric Estrada sell you a cell phone. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103319&clickid=prod_cs |
