Think this is the correct patent we should review, Step 65 addresses the actual tension in pounds.

I would like to keep this on topic please, so those that have actual experience with tension banding retangular CRTs please comment with types of equipment used, and any practical advise on this method.

As CRT's become more scarce I can see how removing bonded lens (due to bonding agent breaking down) and alternate safety measure may become more of an issue.

I take it that the type wanted would be the "round or flat" tension tools so the tool does not fit under the strap (again pusher config). This is all new stuff so I may be all wrong. So again I am appealing to those that have actually done this on CRT's for some guidance.
