Arrived today at my house, to be a part of my collection, a TV from the early days of color television in Brazil, a very nice and rare 1972 console Sylvania ( see picture below ). The TV is in very good shape, came from the original owners, it even came with the instructions manual! I also got from another seller a nice key ring promoting Sylvania's color TV ( the Empire name you see in the key ring is the name of a Brazilian factory bought by Sylvania some time earlier ).

Wow...Wild to see an American style TV in another country..Congrats !!

If you are in a former NTSC standard country your set might even use the same chassis used here in the USA.

I wish mine was that clean when found! If mine were not in a metal cabinet the chassis and CRT would be the only salvageable parts.

Sylvanias that age are rare enough in the US. A nice find! I'm assuming this is a hybrid?

this is a d16 chassis.we called them "big tuner" sets.hybrid that produced a fine picture and at the time,these sylvanias were touted as having the best picture.the first of many sylvanias that earned this title.this is a great set!
