Working on the formerly live-mouse-infested Magnavox, and there's only one bumblebee in it. Just so I don't screw this up ;) , can anyone help me out with the value of this cap? TIA :)

If you can read resistor color code, the capacitance is the resistor color code of those 'K' numbers on modern yellow replacements. For example a bumble bee with the first three bands YEL PUR ORG decodes to 473 which can be replaced by a modern cap with value of 473K(this is 47*10^3 thousand pico farads or .047uF) Kamakiri 05-21-2013, 07:24 PM Still a bit confusing for me. One more, gentlemen, if you don't mind :) A little hard to make that one out. If it's Brown, Black, Yellow it would be .1, the Blue stripe at the end would make it 600 volts. The last stripe is the voltage and it's the same color code, Brown=100v, red=200v, yellow=400v, Blue=600v. Not sure what that 4th band is, possibly tolerance?
