I would register if it was not scheduled the weekend before finals week at my College(thus making attendance subject to getting high enough grades in everything leading up to it).

The convention is now over. This was my first visit to the museum and I was in awe.
I got to see all the sets I really wanted to ... except a CT-100 ... and they were amazing. When I got home I realized that seeing a real CT-100 probably would
make no difference since 1) the generators they use probably use a large and equal
bandwidth R-Y and B-Y and 2) a 15GP22 clearly does not have the resolution (and convergence!) to show real I-Q to best advantage. And, of course, the prototype
is equal wide bandwidth. The B&W tracking was not yet perfect, but still it
was impressive. A close look at edges when the phase "flipped" showed that
the color fringes were convergence problems, not the CPA working improperly.
It was also impressive that 125 or people could walk the narrow path between
the exposed chassis bottom and the wall without anybody getting electrocuted!
And it was interesting that I was seen by a couple of people over the working
neon-tube mechanical system.

Your wrong on 1). The CT-100 and 21CT55(CTC-2 chassis variants BTW) both use I-Q color demodulation, and IIRC use wide band color demodulation as well.
It was not until RCA's first "simplified" color chassis the CTC-4 that they got away from I-Q demodulation.

One odd variation was that the 21CT55 demodulated along R-Y (wideband) and Q (narrow-band) color axes. I once was able to interview Dalton Prichard, the Guru of color receiver design at RCA Laboratories in Princeton. Dalton recalled that there was some patent dispute associated with the continued use of "I,Q" color demodulation, and that "one resistor was saved" in the matrix section of the 21CT55.
