I recently acquired a Sony SL-2700B Betamax machine, and am wondering just how rare a find I might have made. According to the betamaxcollectors website, it is a "rare" black version of the SL-2700. Doing a bit of research seems to support that claim - I can't any of them for sale or recently sold, and the only pictures are on the aforementioned site.
I was considering selling it on eBay once refurbished but am not sure what to ask for it. I had an SL-2710B a couple years ago, also a supposedly rare black version of the SL-2710, but it fetched little or no more than its silver counterpart (about $200 I think). This one, however, is in remarkable condition - it was only used for a few hours, comes with the original box, manual, and remote, and literally doesn't have a single mark on the machine itself.
Thanks for any advice.

The SL-2700 (silver version) was Sony's top-of-the-line VCR, and more advanced than the SL-2710. I don't remember even seeing black versions of either machine, in fact. I think you have a rare and desirable machine indeed.

Pictures of the black versions of both machines can be seen on www.betamaxcollectors.com.
