I know...I know. This movie has probably been seen by everyone in the world by now...but me.

Just this evening seeing this movie on Turner Classics. It's fun....and the "special effects" with the furniture is astonishing for 1957 in my opinion. I have never seen this movie, and it's only about a half hour in. I suspect this may be the movie that ends with a little man in a spider web? (I seem to remember some clip like that I saw somewhere in the last forty years, and made fun of on the Simpsons)

I'm watching this on my little RCA Lunar clock TV in the bedroom....and it's damn fun!

Update:
Well okay.....the effects are a little more cheesy as the man gets smaller, but I bet any KID seeing this in 1957 was SCARED TO DEATH by that CAT!

It came from outer space, I recall seeing this in college as a 3D movie...

I think you're remembering the final moments in the 1958 version of "The Fly" with David Hedison. He's caught in a spider web with the miniature head of a man and the body of a fly, screaming for help as the big hungry spider approaches.

I think it's The Incredible Shrinking Man that has the scene where he stabs the spider with a pin, causing the spider guts to spill out all over him.

Saw that as a kid and it gave me nightmares for a few years.

Yeah....cool movie, and yeah, stabbed that spider with a pin. Did NOT end as I thought it was going to (Yeah...that was The Fly I was thinking of, which I think I have also never seen yet).

Ended with some real weird metaphysical rambling of some sort.

They were going to make a follow up and pass out Scratch n Sniff cards called The Incredible Stinking Man...but it got voted down.
