We are hosting Pete's site now. Someone had mirrored his site in 2009, and he recently gave us the files. The site hasn't been updated since 2009, but Pete hopes to bring it up to date:

VERY Good news!

Thanks for hosting it Steve, I am sure Pete will get back on updating it soon, it is such a great reference, it was very sad to think it was thought lost forever.

Back in the days when the NTSC color TV system was being developed, a test color transmission of some fruit was done. Some practical joker took the bananas and painted them blue. In the NTSC color system, the color (more precisely chroma) is encoded onto a subcarrier, the phase indicating which color. Yellow 180o out of phase yields blue. The guy at the receiving test site would adjust the phase (commonly called "tint") to get the bananas right, but then the rest of the fruit would be wrong!

I love that kind of stuff and the explanations. I guess I am warped though (and still not "growed up"). But life is too short...

Please report broken links, missing pictures, etc. I'm sure there are quite a few, since reconstructing the site was mostly manual.

Steve……..Good to have Pete’s CT-100 restoration site back and hope active. I found mention of my 21CT55 in the “CT-100 News and Notice” section, dated 10-15-2007. The picture of the “custom-installed” set was probably the first I took of it after I hauled it down from my attic after a 30+ year hibernation….Tom
