Looks like a Canadian built set. The earlier British sets had strange styling quirks. There was a few British firms that set up plants in Canada, such as Marconi. As a manufacturer Pye went right back to the very early days of radio in the 1920's. Have you got any more pictures of that TV? The inside view might give a clue as to its origin,looks mid-late 1950's to me and by that time their styling for UK models had settled down to a more conventional look.
