It's been a while since I posted any restoration projects, and for a very good reason, we've been moving, and moving a LOT of stuff at that. It required two full size 18 wheeler moving trucks and a crew of 6 guys and four days to do it. We moved from Central NJ to Harpers Ferry, WV, about 225 miles, and I was determined to bring all of my "toys" with me. Even I was a little surprised to see how much stuff I'd accumulated in the 25 years I'd spent in the NJ home. I was very fortunate that there was very little if any damage to anything during the move. The movers were great and really went the extra mile to handle everything with kid gloves.

Before we left for the Eastern Panhandle of WV, I did come across a few last minute acquisitions that I thought you all might like to see. Here's the first one.

It's a Zenith 12" Porthole with a 28F20 chassis.

When I saw this I just couldn't pass it up, especially not for $50. The crt tests great, and the cabinet is overall in excellent shape. I'm looking forward to starting on this one but the problem is, it's going to take me a year to unpack and set up a workshop. I've got a great spot picked out with plenty of room and full climate control.

If you'd like to see the other acquisition...go over to the "Early Color Television" Section. I don't think you've seen many color sets by the Olympic Company. Even though it's a clone, it's a very interesting looking one.

Those are very sturdy little sets... 3/4" thick top & sides. Good performers, too.
That set should have been equipped with a 12KP4.

Wow, looks like you found a beautiful home! That Zenith looks like it was very well cared for too, great score! I'm very happy that you were finally able to find the house you wanted and that the move went well, all the best to you:)

I've got that same set in about the same condition. Have had it for 5 years or so. I payed about twice what you did you luck dog!
