That looks like a Toshiba built Sears TV from the mid '70's. The reason I know is because I recently fixed one for an older man.

I have this same exact Sears and it's a solid state. I found it on the side of the road before garbage day a few years ago.. The copper snatchers had robbed it's power cord..

I think it's a delta gun. This set looks like a Sanyo built set. I had one a while back and it had a great picture, I wish I'd kept it. Mine was a '76 I think, this one looks somewhere in there. It had round phosphor dots too, not stripes.

76 Sanyos should have had in line guns.

It probably wasn't flat enough for them. I run into that a lot.

Yeah, that and they said 'cause it's not cable ready and big enough. I thought, why take it in the first place, they knew I liked it. It was to my much hated brother in law (hated for reasons I'd rather not state in public) My set was a little different than this one but I first thought Sanyo because of the tuner knobs and bezel, you may be right about Toshiba though since you worked on one recently. I hope Dave grabs it, either way, it's a set worth saving.

The one I worked on only needed tuner/control cleaning and some basic adjustments. Most of those small screen Japanese color sets from the mid '70's are very reliable and good performers.

We used to stock a few electrolytic capacitors on the Sears truck. Common items. We could usually fix any of these sets with a few replaced parts.

I rarely saw any of these Toshiba built sets. I saw one recently that has a decent picture, and has never been serviced. It's sat on top of a refrigerator in a friends home connected to the main TV's antenna cable. The owner asked me if I'd ever seen an older set... I laughed, and said, yes, lots older.
