Does anyone know if the antique radio and TV swap meet that happened every year in the city of Rochester, on the state of New York, still happens?

Well, being a half-day south, I am aware of this place and they should know.

The last time I went, 10 or more years ago, it was almost old computer junk.

I hope you have better luck.

We have an "electronics" version of the Santee Swap Meet here in San Diego. Every first weekend of the month (I'll go this weekend of course), but I found it to ALSO be just an awful lot of old laptops...old computer cases and monitors (almost all LCD).

I was also sorta let down that it doesn't really have any "old electronics" at all beyond a regular swap meet. All I can find are "mainstream old" (90s-00s) junky plastic TVs, and an occasional beat up small TV I may get for five bucks.

That being said though...I DID run into my Sony 301 at a swap meet, and recently a little Panasonic BiSider TV clock radio, and just this last weekend, the unexpected treat of finding a "brand new" 12" GE b/w set from 1984.

It won't stop me from making a roadtrip to ANY swapmeet even if it's just for fun though.

I thank you guys for the answers. I am planning a trip to New York next year, and I would like to go at the same time of the swap meet... I also have another doubt: I did a little research on the Internet and discovered that the are three towns named Rochester on the state of New York... which one of those three is the town where the swap meet is held?

I think you may be referring to the AWA convention, which has a large auction and flea market, usually with quite a bit of TV stuff. It is in August:
