We've had lots of pictures of TV sets from various eras, well here is a vintage picture of myself and a coinventer Herman Weickenbrock of a few patents from around 1985 in the old RCA Smornoff Labs in Princeton NJ. We were developing this new thing called digital image processing. Line combs, frame combs, chroma luma separators, interlace to progressive scan converters and such, here built with a boatload of TTL chips. As proof of concept demos, not something that could yet go into production. :)

As it was the 80's, I had my skinny tie on. :thmbsp:

Thanks for posting, I like seeing things like that and hearing the stories.

Last month I was at a street fair and saw a guy carrying a canvas bag that advertised the RCA Sarnoff Laboratories. I probably should have stopped him and asked if he used to work there.

It felt so good to unbox, deliver and set up those Colortraks that year.

Thanks for the picture!

I also have one of the "blue-green" antennas RCA made at the Antenna Lab in Gibbsboro, NJ
