Anyone out there into the old GE Porta Color Tv's? I have one from 1966 that's like new and one that needs some TLC. I do collect them. Also have a later version that's solid state from 1977 that my folks had. A cool Tv

I have the HC chassis as well, have to figure out why the green is so hard to get. CRT is ok, the vectorscope looks completely wrong, its like I get only BLUE or RED, Green shows as blue.... Flesh tones are fine, but grass is a weak blue...

Got 2 of the Soiled-State ones, & a rather decrepit Tooob specimen. They ARE neat l'il guys, though...

Not really early color strictly speaking, belongs more in the square forum.

Have a 1976 tube model with a slot shadow mask in orange-red, good working condition. Would love to find a 1966 model.

I'm still looking for a 1966 model.

BTW, I do have a solid state 10" 1983 model for parts if anyone needs chassis parts.

need a tint control for mine. I'll check the chassis number and see if matches.
Thanks for the offer!

I have a '73 model 10HE portacolor that's dead and I haven't had time to check it. I'd like to find one of the "last gasp" tube models from the late '70's (had a few back in the '90's) and I'd grab one of the later solid state ones, if one came along. Actually, I'd probably grab any one that I found that was local and cheap.

Besides the ones made for the British (U.K.) market, there where any other P.A.L. version of the Portacolor?

I believe there was a German Kuba brand version.

I little while ago I happened to have all three things in the OP's middle picture...Until one of those Memorex speakers shorted and took out a fuse on a nice Akai stereo system(man was it ever a b!tch to FIND the speaker fuses in that thing). IMHO Memorex should have stuck to making audio tape. I think I still have one of those GE transistor sets, but I may have sold it.
