Hope he knows to ship the CRT separately, also two of the chassis bolts are missing!

Been a lot of these coming out lately, wonder why the sell off?

It goes in waves I think. Sometimes it seems that there's a collective consciousness to everything, or maybe someone saw what the last one got, then a few come to market.

I bought mine for a little less, but it's not as nice of a piece as that one. The man I bought it from took it in for repairs in 2002. He was known as a tech that could repair a set this old. I guess the owner passed on the cost of repair. I was surprised that the set was aquired that recently. It should be a very interesting restoration.

This happens all the time. One <whatever> sells for a good price. That sale brings others out of the weeds.

By that logic I should sell the color prototype, more may surface? j/k!

There are still 621s in the hands of non-collectors, and I'm sure that some of the older collectors that went inactive, and have 621s that they bought for significantly less than the current going price many moons ago will be tempted to sell if they want the money more than another dust collector.

I don't want mine to be a dust collector. According to the notes that came with the set, it mentions that the picture was too dark. CRT was tested, and found to be weak. When I checked it it seemed like it would show a decent picture. I'm going to test the CRT with a newer chassis and see what it looks like, before I do the restoration job.:scratch2:
