Here are some pictures of the modules for the mid 1970's sets that were so popular here. I've always believed that the delta tube used in these sets gave a superior picture to the delta tubes used in the Philips sets of the time. Their only minus was that their life was not as long.

Hi Labrat,

Nice photography! i was expecting to see the rather biggish PAL DL delay line on your first shot which appears to be the main decoder board...

Best Regards

Nice pictures and what looks to be Blaupunkt KC chassis modules. From L-R I'd say they are chroma, RGB, PSU, Channel Selector and Vertical Deflection modules.

The delay lines for these sets are located on the main PCB panel that the modules plug into. I can arrange a picture of it sometime if anyone is interested.

I have a few of these early (for Australia) Blaupunkt and Siemens sets but I haven't yet had any of them running so I can't comment on the quality of the A67-150x CRT they use.

Hello to all.
Andrew is right. The PAL delay line is on one of the three larger mother boards. I took two sets of pictures of the boards. Low resolution, and high resolution. The low resolution ones were taken with the boards facing the other way. They were labeled.

Your mention of the PAL delay line reminded me that I still have a Luminance Delay Line, very early, which few would probably have ever seen. It came from our version of the British 4000 series, Australian 4KA (4KA = 4000 Australian) It is very large when compared to other delay lines of the period. I have seen one earlier one. It had individual caps instead of the thick film cap units. By the way. I tend to take photographs on the mat of our children's trampoline. It is the only place were there there are no family photos.

All the best, Wayne.

Very nice modules, I never seen it before. I have two vintage Blau sets, an FM100 and a CTV200 with eight tubes, this have a single modules for croma and the luminance delay line and the PAL delay line are on the main chassis. It uses three PCL200, pentodes for color output and triodes for reactance stage, color killer and impedance adapter.

Luminance delay line is on the left, and the PAL delay line (Telefunken VL10) is the red box on the right

The CRT's didn't fair too well in those sets & that was the same CRT used in the AWA 4KA (TCE 4000) chassis & those CRT's were of US origin usually an RCA type.
