DaveWM 12-31-2011, 12:43 PM I used a reactance calc online, plugged in 900uf at 120hrz came out to 1.5ohm approx, for for voltage I would look at the circuit, that high a uf makes me think its a cathode bypass, so prob low voltage. dieseljeep 12-31-2011, 01:39 PM How do you decipher these? There are no mfd or voltage ratings on them. Is that cap in a Dumont set? Looks like their part number. stusnyder 12-31-2011, 02:43 PM Is that cap in a Dumont set? Looks like their part number. Yes it is, and there's a bunch of them. I want to replace them. mbear2k 12-31-2011, 04:05 PM What's the model/chassis number? stusnyder 12-31-2011, 10:27 PM What's the model/chassis number? Model ra-103 I think the chassis number is 7041-a1 I think I'm going to need a service selector switch, because there's alot of arcing in it. Where's there a good place to get one? stusnyder 01-02-2012, 11:14 AM I used a reactance calc online, plugged in 900uf at 120hrz came out to 1.5ohm approx, for for voltage I would look at the circuit, that high a uf makes me think its a cathode bypass, so prob low voltage. It is low voltage, the can has 6vdc marked on it. mbear2k 01-10-2012, 07:45 PM Is it possible to identify them from the SAM's or Rider diagrams? http://www.earlytelevision.org/tv_schematic_diagrams.html stusnyder 01-10-2012, 08:30 PM Is it possible to identify them from the SAM's or Rider diagrams? http://www.earlytelevision.org/tv_schematic_diagrams.html Sams does not state it in mfd. Horizontal center control bypass is the ID of it. mbear2k 01-11-2012, 02:26 PM Maybe C278? http://www.oldtubes.net/library/images/Capture.JPG Which looks like a 100uf at 25v. http://www.oldtubes.net/library/images/Capture2.JPG This is from the TV Rider on the same page as above. stusnyder 01-11-2012, 03:45 PM C4, C5, and C6 in sams. I figure a 1000 uf at 25 volts should be ok. Although C6 states 2000 uf. sharejutt 01-28-2012, 04:06 AM What are some weird but good common food combinations? |
