According to Wikipedia, two or three PBS stations were still airing reruns of Doctor Who reruns. However, according to these stations' schedules, they do not appear to be showing this any more.

Does anyone know of a station that airs DW currently?

WTTW in Chicago is running the more recent episodes. I believe they are up to last season with Matt Smith as the doctor.

BBC America was running them yesterday, I remembered seeing them on the guide.

We get an hour of classic Dr. Who here Saturday nights at 7pm on KBTC Tacoma. Just started the third Doctor a couple weeks ago. I think they are the only station in the USA still broadcasting those oldies.

I've always liked the 3rd doctor the best myself too. But I like to watch all of them 1-8, the new new ones I just can't get into though.

Speaking of the 3rd Doctor. A couple years ago I watched every single episode starting from the very 1st including the reconstructed missing ones.

I was quite surprised to discover there were a few Pertwees I had never seen!
Some because only B&W prints survive (The Ambassadors of Death, The Mind of Evil) and one I think because our PBS station thought it might be offensive to some (The Daemons).

Lucky you...the old series was what I had in mind when starting this thread. It'd be great to have a station airing all the Tom Baker episodes I've missed! :thmbsp:

The PBS station I used to watch them on showed all the 3rd Doctor episodes, but didn't show any 1st or 2nd. I remember once during a pledge drive they put up The Ark and The War Games and thinking it was a big deal to get to see the older episodes. I've since seen them all (including the reconstructed missing ones)

Wttw in chicago used to run the old episodes all the time on sunday night this was in the late seventy's and early eighty's fortunately and I had the common sense to record them all. I have the first episode an unearthly child and a very last old new episode some on beta some on vhs. someday I hope to transfer them over to a better media... if there is a specific episode let me know I may possibly make a copy for you..

There's many 1st and 2nd doctor episodes that only currently exist in the format of audio and a sequence of still pictures because the BBC junked the tapes in back in the 70s.
