The CRT socket in my set has the focus (?) lead melted and corroded, I took it apart and the lead just broke off the pin and same with one other lead that must have been weak.

Its a 21FBP22 CRT, those ones on ebay for 14 pin CRT sockets are those OK?

I don't have one. But maybe someone will have a picture tube brightener and you could steal the socket from that?

The one on ebay appears to be for a 7JP4 electrostatic deflection CRT and would not be compatible 21FBP22.

Won't work... As Electronic M says. The color socket has a fatter keyway.

Ive been looking on ebay for a crt brightener I could rob one from but Im not that familiar with all of the socket types, and none have a good picture of the socket, some are listed as "RCA type".

I found an old roundy socket today in a parts box I bought from someone.

It is dirty and I don't know if it is good, but all the wires are there and seem to be solidly attached.

You could also attempt to take out the rivets that hold the two bakelite halfs together on your socket to get to and rersolder the connection of the wire and terminal for the focus pin. I once fixed a roundy socket that I had riped a wire out of in this manner and it works well.

I did try to take it apart but the focus lead is not recoverable, the actual connector to CRT pin is missing metal/corroded and will never make a good connection again.
