Know what model this one is? CRT size- 10, 12?

What a cool looking set! No labels? Should be something at least inside. You can measure the CRT from the front or is a set you might buy?

I would say it is a 12" CRT, perhaps a metal-cone 12UP4/12UP4A. The controls and bezel match those in the pictures of 1950 Zenith models on the TV History Web site (and the set I own, I am pretty sure, but I cannot see its front panel right now), and there are no 10-inch sets listed for 1950. It is definitely not a 16-inch or larger CRT.

This is a set that I might purchase. I have another picture of the front but I'm not sure it's any better.

I do not think they had 10" sets. It looks like a 12 to me. Looks nice.

Is there any one in the Portland Maine area that might be able to help me with the acquisition of this set? The seller may be apprehensive about shipping it, and quite frankly I am apprehensive about some one who doesn't know anything about TVs to pack one for shipping. If there is any one here who is in that area that can pick the set up and work with me to ship I'd compensate them for their time and effort. PM me if you can help.

I see a plastic insulator around the CRT so it must be a 12UP4, a very hard tube to find if it's bad.

The Husfloen collector book lists a handful of 1950 tabletop portholes by Zenith, a couple with 10" tubes and a couple with 12" tubes.

If the seller can find a model number or chassis number on the back or on a label inside or on the bottom, that might clear up the mystery.
