Is the tuner part tube?

That raster is a trip, what would cause that except the yoke being pulled way back or shorted?

Some where I have an old "LOOK" magizine from 63' that has an ad for that set.
I had the opratunity to purchase the stereo only version at an estate sale once, but could not afford it and my other acquisitions.

I think that was taken as the set was powered off. The previous photo shows a full, albeit dim, raster.

Don't see one of those often. Might be worth picking up for someone local. Those GE record changers are built like tanks.

I found that same set at a local antique mall ten or so years back, no price, and I only saw it the one time. About five years ago, I found the white French Provincial model someone had slapped white latex paint on. It came home with me for $60. No legs or wall mounting equipment. Television lights up full screen, amp works, and tone arm skips on the record. I don't think the needle is bad, has its original cartridge and stylus. It's in storage at the moment.

I would think the stereo part would be tube-type too. I have a similar unit which is just phono and radio without TV and it uses tubes, although it has a Garrard changer.

Oh man, except for the price, I'd be all over that!

Changer is a re-badged VM. Good changer.
