Does Anybody know the Solvent to pull apart the Optical Low Pass Filters in Sony /Panasonic Cameras please . In New Zealand we are having a problem with these going cloudy . I have not heard of any other country with this problem yet . This is the Blue Glass in front of the CCD not the Colour Correction filters .

i have this problem with a lot of the sony portable and JVC cameras etc, as far as i know there is nothing you can do to fix them other than find a replacement which is near impossible to find

I have seen this problem in the UK too, On Sony BVP7s. If you remove the filter, the point were the lens focuses will change, if you can find a new position for the lens it might work, but there will be some patterning on fine detail.

This filter is a hi-pass infrared cut filter needed to keep infrared light out of the camera tube. Edmond Optics in Barrington, New Jersey, USA, has several different IR cut filters in their catalog, although I don't know how compatible they will be with any given camera.
Hope this might help,
