I recently bought a ATSC portable Jensen JDTV-350 to watch broadcasts when parked somewhere for a while.

Got this 3.5" set at a good deal, has external antenna which I recommend using a mcx type connector.The set is engineered VERY well. set took a tumble already and still works, has heavy duty rubberized case. Quality seen on bigger sets. menu driven screen adjustments. Color temp adjustments. 350 x 284 res. , picks up digital and HD tv transmissions. You would swear res. is higher than actually is. Shading, fine details and textures in video are easily seen and makes for an awesome experience. There's even a high quality lithium ion battery included. The battery didn't hold a charge at first, after several charges, is now formed and works well (2AH!). There's even vent holes for heat dissipation similair to what's seen in an old console tv.

The new digital standard has excellent picture quality. This unit is meant to be used when stationay. I'm going to research for hopefully some type of amplified antenna for road use for my family to use when travelling. Customer service phone # on back. I would have to think for a while of another product that impresses me as much as this one.

If I ever get a bigger portable tv, has to be a Jensen. Picked up 10 channels in my outer fringe area, 4 stations were color bars or off air?- not sure. One digital audio station w/ a screen label.
Near a major city, set picked up 51 channels, some didn't work. I would say probaly at least 25 to 30 working. First channel is on air program guide similair to cable tv.
Set has advenced features, must be reprogrammed when used in a new vicinity. Similiar to a vcr. Your only scrolling through mostly working channels, not dead air channels. keeps program memory when batterys low. NO staic or fuzz like old lcd mini tvs. Used "cinema " setting to make screen objects slightly larger for easier viewing. cable tv or satellite quality video. Blurred pics, timed shutter.

Does it pick up analog too? Does it have any kind of video input? I looked around for a spec sheet to find out and mostly hit dead links, or incomplete info, but I couldn't find anything about it getting anything except ATSC

It would be labeled as to what it CANNOT receive. The FCC's wording, pulled from their 2009 ATSC hearings:

We will require any device that lacks NTSC analog reception capability to carry a notice that reads: “Cannot receive analog low power TV.”
100 Similarly, if a device has no A/53 digital reception capability, it must carry a notice that reads: “Receives only stations broadcasting Mobile DTV.”101 A device without either analog or A/53 digital reception capability must include both statements in the notice. To be useful, it is essential that these notices be visible to consumers before they open an eligible device’s packaging. Therefore, as described below, entities that choose to take advantage of the waiver must display the notice on the packaging of the device, and, when acting as a retailer, also at the point of sale.

I've seen only one HDTV that didn't receive analog - a Macau-made "Soon" branded set at the thrift store. It had a paper label, obviously an afterthought, that stated it did not receive NTSC signals. No power jack, nor external antenna on the thing. The crappy name and features made me think it was a promo item, like the old Bentley sets.
