I believe that was a delta gun 19" set from around '77, using the CTC8x chassis.

:(
Those were some good sets, I had several come my way back in the early 90s. I remember a 21" model that I ran for years. Tip: see that crt bezel, painted silver? If the paint is flaking, don't just mask off the crt and spray paint it. In doing so on the 21" model I guess it made just enough contact between the crt faceplate and that bezel. That thing would give you a terrible static shock every time you turned it on/off.
Now, back to the thread...

You can only imagine what they did with that CRT.

creative reuse of an otherwise worthless set.

Looks like they might have left the tuner/controls in place. Hope the cat/dog doesn't have a tendency to chew on wires...

i had several of these sets as a bedroom watcher.the one that i really liked had a digital readout tuner.very reliable set and a sharp picture from the delta crt.loaned it out and never got it back.

got one of those sets in storage, not bad as others have stated, but nothing special either. one of many really unremarkable sets produced during the late 70's

It's obviously not classic vintage, but if I had the chance of saving it and a 90's RCA, I would choose this one.

around here you couldnt give it away if it worked.during my last move 10 years back it was the same.many such sets went crash in the dumpster.i suspect a few at the shop are going to meet the same fate here soon with the move coming up.i offered a new collector in my area a 21"xl100 free.needed work but had signs of being an easy save.after several promises to come and get it i got tired of stubbing my toe on it and dumped it.
