All my research has repeatedly led me here, so hopefully you guys can help. I have Technics SA-R177 that I got from my mom when I moved out of the house. Thing was a beast and really powered my Infinity RSb speakers. Turned her on one day and no sound. I can't find another receiver that will push those speakers the way it used to. What is my problem, and are there any other Techs receivers out there that will push like one??? The speakers are 200w RMS.

look on ebay, they have lots of classic receivers and sometimes they can be had for a good price! You can look up your set on there as well, someone will be selling one for parts or working. Its your choice what to do. In some cases you can get another for less than searching for parts/repair.

as of this minute, you got the choice, schematic, or replacement. They have two listings.

Perhaps that unit is repairable. Have you looked inside? I fix stuff like that all the time.

You might also want to post this over on AudioKarma - there are some really great techs over there that will know more specifics about your receiver.

Are you using it for home audio or....? Home audio stuff does not really take to well to being run hard for long periods of time. If your just looking for raw power you should be able to find a pro audio amp for a much more reasonable price.

Maybe I missed the point, when I see 'DJ' I think of pounding the amp at 2db below clipping for 6 hours non stop.
